Masik Shivratri – Gau Seva for Care & Protection of Gaumata by Punyakart Foundation

Masik Shivratri is a sacred occasion dedicated to devotion, discipline, and compassionate living. It is believed that seva performed on this day reaches Lord Shiva directly. In this spirit, Punyakart Foundation dedicates Masik Shivratri to Gau Seva—serving cows who are injured, abandoned, old, or suffering on streets and open lands. Through this campaign, devotion takes the form of protection, nourishment, and care for Gaumata.

Across towns and villages, many cows struggle daily for food, water, and safety. Injuries caused by accidents, weakness due to hunger, and exposure to harsh weather leave them vulnerable. Some are unable to walk properly, while others suffer silently without medical help. Gau Seva on Masik Shivratri becomes a powerful way to reduce this suffering—by offering care, shelter, and timely support to lives that cannot speak for themselves.
