This New Year, let your compassion become warmth and nourishment for those who need it most. Across the holy towns of Vrindavan and Mathura, many elderly widow mothers live in fragile conditions—often without stable income, without consistent family support, and with growing health challenges that make daily survival difficult. In winter, the struggle becomes even harsher. Cold nights, inadequate bedding, and limited food resources can turn each day into a test of endurance. Through this relief initiative, we aim to support these mothers with blankets for warmth and food assistance for strength, so they can live with greater safety, dignity, and comfort.

Project Purpose

The purpose of this New Year drive is simple: protect the mothers from extreme cold and reduce hunger during the winter period. Many widow mothers in Braj survive with minimal belongings—often a thin shawl, worn clothing, and limited access to proper meals. A quality blanket can prevent cold-related illness and reduce discomfort at night. Food support can bring immediate relief and help mothers maintain energy and wellbeing. When support is delivered with respect, it becomes more than relief—it becomes reassurance that they are not forgotten.

What the Drive Includes

Implementation Approach & Accountability

This campaign is run by Punyakart Foundation, with the Madhav Foundation as the beneficiary NGO for on-ground support and distribution. Beneficiaries are identified through local networks and on-field verification, focusing on elderly widow mothers with the greatest need. Materials are selected for practicality and comfort, and distribution is carried out in calm settings to maintain safety, respect, and fairness. Wherever appropriate, brief updates of the drive (photos/videos) may be documented responsibly to maintain transparency while preserving the dignity and privacy of the mothers.
