Build a New Shelter for Gau Mata Old Shed Is Overcrowded • Weather Protection Needed • Safer Space for Injured & Elderly Cows

Our current shed is no longer able to protect all cows properly. With growing rescues, more injured and elderly cows, and changing seasons, the shelter space has become overcrowded and insufficient. During cold nights, heavy rains, and heat waves, cows need a secure, dry, and calm place to rest. This campaign is focused on creating a new, stronger shelter for Gau Mata—so no cow is left exposed to weather, slippery floors, or unsafe overcrowding.

Why a New Shelter Is Urgently Needed

Many cows in care are weak, injured, or recovering from illness. Overcrowded sheds increase stress, make feeding and cleaning harder, and raise the risk of infection and चोट (injury). A protected shed reduces disease, supports faster recovery, and ensures cows can lie down comfortably without fear. The new shelter will help us provide space, ventilation, dryness, hygiene, and safe resting areas—especially for old cows, calves, and cows with injuries.

What We Plan to Create Through This Shelter Project

🏗️ Strong Covered Shed

A durable, weather-safe structure to protect cows from rain, cold winds, harsh sun, and extreme temperatures—reducing seasonal stress.

🧼 Dry Flooring & Drainage

Better flooring and drainage helps keep the area dry and clean, lowering infection risk and preventing slips—especially for weak cows.

🌬️ Ventilation & Shade

Proper airflow and shaded resting zones to reduce heat stress and support healthy breathing—important for elderly and sick cows.

🛏️ Bedding & Resting Space

Dedicated, comfortable resting sections for injured, old, and recovering cows—so they can heal peacefully with dignity.

Construction materials and basic structure development (roofing, pillars, safety framework).
Flooring improvements, drainage, and cleanliness-ready design for hygiene.
Weather protection needs (shade, wind barriers, rain safety measures).
On-ground implementation support (transport, labour coordination, essential fittings as required).
