Mondays hold a deep spiritual significance in Sanatan Dharma. It is the day devoted to Lord Shiva, the compassionate destroyer of negativity, and the divine protector of all creatures. Among all beings, the cow (Gau Mata) is considered closest to Shiva because Nandi, His eternal vehicle and foremost devotee, is a bull — an embodiment of purity, patience, and devotion.

Ancient texts describe that serving Gau Mata on Monday pleases both Lord Shiva and Nandi. It is believed that:
