Purnima Seva Drive – Feed Monkeys in Vrindavan & Mathura (Punyakart Foundation)

Purnima is considered a sacred day for prayers, purity, and daan (charity). Many devotees believe that offerings made on Purnima carry special spiritual merit—especially when the support reaches those who cannot ask for help. In the holy towns of Vrindavan and Mathura, countless street and injured monkeys struggle daily for food and water. When crowds thin out and offerings reduce, hunger remains. This is why Punyakart Foundation runs a dedicated Purnima Monkey Seva Drive to ensure regular nourishment and compassionate care.

Many monkeys survive on scraps, suffer from wounds, dehydration, and weakness, and often go untreated. On Purnima, we distribute fruits, grains, clean water and provide basic support for injured monkeys wherever possible. This seva is not just a one-time act— it is a disciplined effort to reduce suffering in a place where these voiceless beings depend heavily on the kindness of people.
