It's Saturday, September 20th. In just 48 hours, our cities will be filled with the joyous goonj (reverberation) of Navratri—the music of Garba, the ringing of temple bells, and the chants of devotion.

But behind this beautiful celebration lies a deep, painful khamoshi (silence).

It is the silence of a child sitting on a cold pavement, watching the festivities from a distance. The silence of a stomach that has been empty for too long. For hundreds of orphaned and homeless children in our city, the nine nights of Navratri are not a celebration, but another nine nights of struggle against a relentless enemy: hunger.

Their prayers aren't for prosperity; they are for a single meal. Their reality is not the vibrant color of festive clothes, but the stark darkness of an uncertain night. This silence is the loudest sound in our city, if we choose to listen.

The Solution

This silence is not a choice. But listening to it is.

This Navratri, Punyakart is on a mission to transform this silence into smiles. Our "Utsav of Giving" campaign aims to ensure that no child is left hungry while the city celebrates.

Our volunteers will be on the ground for all nine nights, from September 22nd to September 30th, distributing warm, nutritious, and special festive meals to children in slums, on streets, and at shelter homes. We want to give them not just food, but a feeling of belonging, a taste of the joy that every child deserves during a festival.

We will be their answer to a silent prayer. We will be the hands that deliver the Goddess's blessing.
